We are Healthcare professionals who provide quality age related residential care with
a holistic and cultural approach to all residents / Whanau.

Rhapsody Resthome & Private Hospital was purpose built in 1998 and situated 5 minutes from New Plymouth C.B.D. yet set on 4 acres in a tranquil quiet location at 30 Mill Road.

Resident care is provided by a dedicated team consisting of domestic staff, care staff, registered nurses, physiotherapist, occupational therapist, contracted General Practitioner and Pharmacist. Approximately 65 staff deliver services to 69 residents. Regular in-service education is part of the culture at Rhapsody which enable all staff to develop their skills and actively participate at various levels of resident care, management including governance and quality improvement committees.

Rhapsody Resthome & Private Hospital is part of the Ultimate Care Group, a group which own aged care facilities across New Zealand.

We can assure that at all times people in our care are receiving care services that exceed minimum New Zealand standards, whether this be size of the bed room, medical support, accountability, nutrition and social activities.

A covered entryway, plenty of parking and spacious grounds, gardens and facilities make way for residents and visitors to enjoy the abundance of sunshine Taranaki has to offer.

All rooms have a view over gardens and Rest Home bedrooms all have individual ensuites as well as some of the Hospital bed rooms.

Arrange your own private telephone and / or Sky television in your bedroom.

A mini bus is provided by the facility and used for various outings including regular shopping expeditions.
